Any insights from anyone using multiple Octa-Captures and/or a VS-700 with a slaved Octa-Capture running V1.5 would be welcome. Rolling back to the V1.0 driver and firmware is not an option cause the firmware does not exist anywhere according to Roland.Ĭalls and emails to Roland so far have produced no useful results. When I disable this option I can't see the slave ports but I no longer have any issues with my Octa-Capture. Plenty of cycles so it is not a driver CPU use issue. CPU useage indications indicate nothing abnormal. The documentation claims this is just a check on the connection but that is clearly wrong. It is required that this be checked to see the slave Octa-Capture ports. I have traced the root problem to the VS-Expand option which did NOT exist in the V1.0 driver control panel but does in the V1.5 driver. My CPU is not showing any abnormal activity. Note: Be careful not to turn up the volume too much-as this may cause feedback, damage the speakers/headphones or possibly damage to your hearing. OCTA-CAPTURE Driver Ver.1.5. Turn up the volume on your monitor speakers or headphone amplifier to an appropriate level. This system program updates the OCTA-CAPTURE system program to the latest version 1.51. I get horrible digital noise at all sample rates and buffer settings. Connect monitor speakers or a headphone amplifier to outputs 3/4 of the OCTA-CAPTURE. Since upgrading (stupidly!!!) my Octa-Captures to the V1.5 driver and firmware combination the second Octa-Capture has become unuseable.
Nothing is on my PC except my DAW (Sonar X1c Expanded). OCTA-CAPTURE UA-1010: Hi-Speed USB Audio Interface by Roland Eight Premium Mic Preamps, Compact I/O. This is supported by Roland and was working flawlessly for me with the V1.0 drivers and V1.0 firmware on Windows 7 64 bit Professional. I have two Roland Octa-Captures that are strapped together via the SPDIF to provide for 16 ports of IO.
